Kwara United, Heartland set for NPFL return

Kwara United and Heartland from the Northern and Southern Conferences respectively seem set to return to top division football in Nigeria.

With two Match Days left to play in the Northern Conference, Ilorin based, Kwara United already have an unassailable lead at the top of the table and are already through to the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL.

On Match Day 25, Jigawa Golden Stars host Yobe Desert Stars on September 16 while FRSC will be home to Kogi United.

FC Zamfara will host Kwara United and FC Taraba will be home to Mighty Jets.

On Monday, it will be FC Abuja up against Sokoto United.

In the Southern Conference, Heartland seem on their way back to the top after spending just one season in the NNL.

The Owerri based side are eight points clear at the top with 6 games left to play and are followed by Omoku based Go Round FC.

Bayelsa United are in 3rd place, just one point behind Go Round FC.
