Eagles list against Namibia out next week

Consultations have reached advanced levels between the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation and the technical crew of the national team for the team list for the World Cup qualifier against Namibia to be named next week.

The game is scheduled for June 3 in Calabar, Cross River State.

According to Secretary of the team, Dayo Enebi Achor, the technical crew and the NFF are eager to end the speculations in the media about players who will make the cut for the encounter against Namibia, hence the need to rest the issue of players’ invitation for the encounter and concentrate on the task of winning the crucial qualifiers at hand.

“We have heard several names mentioned in the media as those who have made the team, but as far as we are concerned that is unofficial; we will name the authentic team list for the encounter next week.

“We understand the anxiety of the Nigerian media but we can assure that only the best will be picked for the qualifiers because the integrity of the country is at stake,” Achor said.

The Super Eagles is expected to jet out of the country May 19 for an international friendly against Peru in Lima, before returning to face a barrage of qualifiers in the month of June.
