Sunshine blame absence of key players

Sunshine Stars head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote says the absence of his key players led to their 1-0 loss to Dolphins on Saturday.

Sunshine Stars held on until the 85th minute before Adamu Mohammed’s header gave Dolphins the winner.

Ogunbote told that it was easier for Dolphins than his side.

“It was a good and difficult game but I must say my team was a bit depleted with the absence of four of my players with the Super Eagles,” Ogunbote said.

“Dolphins have none so it is their full team out here and it affected us.”

The players Sunshine Stars have in the Super Eagles camp include Moses Ocheje, Izu Azuka and Godfrey Oboabona.
