No pressure for Nigeria’s Falcons

Nigeria’s Super Falcons’ Technical Assistant, Thomas Obliers says Nigerians should not expect too much from the girls by putting much pressure on them.

Obliers says the fitness level of the women national team is not the same as when they played in the World Cup a few months ago.

“The fitness level is not the same as when they were at the World Cup. Let’s say we are at 80% now,” Obliers said.

“You know they went back to their various clubs after the World Cup so they did not continue with the same level of training like we gave them.

“Do not get me wrong, I’m not saying we will not beat Cameroon. I’m only saying we do not need that pressure from the fans.”

Obliers says he believes Falcons will win big in Nigeria to prepare themselves for the return leg.

“I look forward to a big margin win against Cameroon, say, 3 – 4 goals so that when we go to Cameroon it will be easy for us.”
