Croatia was tough- Obuh

Nigeria's U20 football team coach, John Obuh says thursday's 5-2 win over Croatia at the FIFA World Youth Championship was not as easy as the result seemed.

After a difficult first half, Nigeria's Flying Eagles eventually won 5-2 and Obuh said Croatia played much better than they did against Saudi Arabia in their first game.

"We clashed with a different Croatia than the one that played against Saudi Arabia. It was a tough game," Obuh said.

"I did not like the goals we conceded, but I knew we will win the game despite a late fight back by Croatia.

"Against Saudi Arabia, we will do everything to win so as to win our group," Obuh said.

He added that their plan is to also win against Saudi Arabia so they finish in first place and remain at Armenia for the next round.

"We want in the second round to stay put in Armenia, which has proved to be a good hunting ground for us.

"The Saudis will not be pushovers after they scored twice against Croatia and then put six past Guatemala. Like us, they are a very high-scoring team and we will know the better team when we clash on Saturday."
