Granada promotion still excites Ighalo

Nigerian U23 international Odion Ighalo says he is still not over the fact that Granada will now play in the Spanish Primera Liga and that he scored the goal that gave them a qualification ticket.
Ighalo told that he still cannot believe he scored the goal that took the modest Spanish side to the top League and is speechless whenever he tries to talk about it.
“I feel really happy. I give God the glory to use me as an instrument to promote Granada after thirty five years.
“He also did it with me last season when I scored the goal that took the club to the second division after 25 years so I am very happy about it and sometimes I am so overwhelmed that I can hardly talk when discussing it with friends,” Ighalo said.
“The past two seasons have been great in my career and I just hope I can keep up the tempo in subsequent seasons.
Ighalo told that he is now something of a folk hero amongst Granada fans since his exploits the last two seasons.
“I’m like their hero there now but I don’t want to get ahead of myself now. I’m still young and have a lot to learn in football. Its great achieving this at Granada, but I know I can do more in the coming season.”
