Injuries worry Nigeria

Doctors of Nigeria’s Olympic Football Team have been working round the clock to ensure that players of the team who suffered injuries last week are fit for the Ghana game.

Nurudeen Orelesi (In Pic)who suffered exhaustion during the game against Tanzania was expected back in camp on Thursday but had not shown up at the time of filing this report.
Orelesi had returned to Albania to finalise his contract with his new club.

Oseni Ganiyu and Obiora Nwankwo have not been able to train since the victory against Tanzania due to blisters incurred from the heat of the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium astro turf.

However, Obiora who is also nursing a minor ankle injury started jogging on Wednesday morning.

Otepka Eneji is out with a bout of Malaria while Sone Aluko is ruled out of the Nigeria Ghana game following a bruise to his knee. The Player has since returned to the United Kingdom.

Haruna Lukman remains a doubt for the game against Ghana as he is yet to return to the team after he left to Ukraine to undergo medicals at his new club.
