Nigerian defender killed in car crash

Nigeria defender Adefemi Olubayo has been killed in a car crash in Greece on Monday.

The 25-year-old, who played for Greek club Skoda Xanthi, was driving to the airport when he lost control of his car. He was on his way to Nigeria to finalise his wedding plans.

Greek police confirmed the incident, which happened on the Egnatia motorway in the Kavala region.

Olubayo won silver at the 2008 Olympic Games with Nigeria and had made three appearances for the Super Eagles
