Odah eyes Olympic team

Sharks FC first choice goalkeeper, Okiemute Odah (Pictured left) says he wants to be part of the Olympic team currently coached by Austin Eguavoen.

Odah told naijafootball247.com that he has done enough in the colours of Sharks FC to be given a look in for the U23s.

“I am good enough to play for either the Super Eagles or the U23s and will be comfortable at either of them,” Odah said.

“What do I have to offer? It is clear that I am one of the best goalkeepers in the country today and I can hold my own against the foreign based goalkeepers when they come but I must be invited first before I can begin to prove I am one of the best.

“The coaches can be rest assured of clean sheets if am given the nod,” Odah enthused.
Despite his good form for Sharks he was over looked from Eguavoen’s 40 man team called to camp to prepare for the All Africa Games qualifying match against Liberia in April but he says he has not given up.

“I’m gutted of course that I was not called up but disappointments like these only make me sit up and I believe that by the time I continue to post top drawer performances they will have no choice but to invite me to join up.

Okiemute Odah joined Sharks three years ago after a short stint in Israel. He had previously played for Bussdor United and had tried out with Dolphins before his departure to Israel.
